Quick Silver

"Quicksilver is, on the surface, an application and file launcher. Should you choose to dig a little deeper you will quickly find it is significantly more than just a launcher."

I first heard of this program from Isaac Botkin and just never took time to check it out...till the other day. I watched a short beginners tutorial video, installed the program and now I'm hooked on it. This program creates a catalog of your files and folders and is quick searchable...and I mean quick! I use it all the time now to open programs, find documents and open folders.

You can download the program here - I think there is a version for PC and Mac. You can go here to see more tutorials on how to use Quicksilver.

Ah, cool! I didn't know there was a PC version. I have a similar program for Linux called GnomeDO but I always forget to use it. lol!
